Took part in the J P Morgan Corporate Challenge last night. The EDAMM team from work consisted of the following 4 members and associated times
Varun 29:26
Andrew 31:12
Stuart 31:26
Simon 54:05
The race was a 5.6km (3.5 mile) race around Battersey Park. It was a hot, humid and dusty evening with great amounts of dust being kicked up by the other runners (no rain here for a couple of months)
More than 13,300 runners taking part on each of the race days.

Here are the race results from the Dorking 10 mile race.
Some interesting things of note:
My official finishing time was 1:42:05 (less the 22 seconds it took to cross the starting line)
I finished 407 out of 467 finishers
I came 46% out of my category (Male Vets 40-49)
Temperature at the start 23c – at the finish 26c
I passed the 5 mile marker (8km) before I needed to take my first walk (a new record)
I ran the next 3 miles taking a 90 second walk at each mile marker
The last 3 miles were murder!!
The best thing that I enjoyed was seeing Penny and Alex waiting for me at the “200m to go” marker

Here are the race results from the Denbies 5k.
Some interesting things of note:
I came 57th out of 150, which I am absolutely DELIGHTED with 🙂
My official time was 26:03 (I started my watch as I crossed the start line which was about 5 seconds after the “go”)
21 club runners finished ahead of me, so I came 36th out of the non-club runners
I finished ahead of 14 club runners
I was 7:32 behind the winner and 37:33 ahead of the last place
